I never knew how easy it is to confuse the crap out of people who work at Hastings with a very simple question. So Yesterday, I went to Hastings with my brother, and we were going to buy a new PS3, and at the store there was this large sign on the ceiling that said if you buy a new PS3, you get a free bluetooth remote to go with it. That was a pretty good deal, because alone it is $20. When we finally found someone to unlock the case and get one, which took FOR EVER, that is when things started to go crazy! After everyone else in front of us checked out, we started paying for our stuff, and mentioned that there was a free remote that we were supposed to get, and that confused the crap out of the person working there. She started looking at the box trying to find out if it came with the remote. At that point, I’m thinking, what the heck are you doing? It doesn’t come with the remote, we are supposed to get a free one when we purchase a new PS3. Then she asks one of the other employees to go check and see if they could find the sign that talked about the free remote. For a while, I thought the guy got lost, because that took for ever. At this point, there was a LONG line starting to build up, and we are thinking, how hard is it to look up and read the big sign that reads “free remote with purchase of new Playstation 3.” Finally, he comes back with a remote. She rang everything up and we got to leave. That has got to be the longest I have ever spent standing in line at Hastings, and it all started with a very simple question, and ended up confusing the crap out of about two employees.

This is just a test post that I made using email…
Yeah, I know that making posts from emails is easy with wordpress, but
WP doesn’t support ssl, so I had to force it to use it, so I don’t know
if this will work or not, but I am going to find out.

I just figured out that my copy of notepad++ was way out of date, and so I found out that the current version supports ftp! Now I can edit my website directly from the server. The only problem with that is that I do all my editing from the website, since my website is all wordpress driven.
download notepad++ here
once it is installed, just click the third icon from the right (a folder with a chain like thing on it), and then on the side bar, click on the gear. click new, rename the site, and just fill out all your server details.
Simple as that, just connect, double click the file you want to edit, and after notepadd++ downloads the file, you just edit it, and when you save it, it goes directly back to your web server!

I decided that I wanted to use my computer as an alarm clock, but I couldn’t get the stupid windows scheduler to open winamp and start randomly playing a song for me (it would run, but nothing would happen).
I found a way to fix that! All I have to do is open winamp before I goto bed, and just minimize it (I have it set to show up in the system tray and not the task bar), and then with the help of a plugin, it will play a random mp3 file from a playlist at a set time.
that plugin is right here
1.set-up winamp to only show up in system tray, not task bar.
2.set-up alarm clock plugin.
3.open winamp and minimize before going to bed.
4.wake up to random favorite song in the morning.
